The Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors (ICMAD) Association announced the three college student finalists and two honorable mentions in the 2017 Young Designers Awards Competition.

This year, participating design students were challenged to design the label and outer packaging for a 6oz clear jar with cap, provided by East Hill Industries. A panel of judges, selected for their expertise in the package design field, reviewed all entries to determine the finalists and winners. This year’s judges were: Stephen Webster, Jacqueline Pack, Priscilla Ober and Lindsay Phebe Philips (Backgrounds of each judge can be found in this press release).

As guests of ICMAD, the three finalists will be flown out to Southern California to attend the Young Designers Awards Ceremony, where the first, second, and third place winners will be announced. Each year, packaging industry experts from across the world attend. This year, the awards dinner will be held aboard the Ambassador yacht, setting sail from the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach on February 8 at 6 pm.
