Dog owner snuggling with dogNo, you did not read that headline incorrectly. The legendary brand MAC Cosmetics is getting ready to release a fall collection completely inspired by (wo)man’s furry best friend.

If you’ve ever heard the theory that people begin to look like their dogs, then you have an inkling of the idea behind this collection. In this case, however, those similarities are celebrated. MAC Haute Dogs features eyeshadows, lipsticks, glosses, pencils, face powders, and nail polish in a variety of colors said to be inspired by different dog breeds. These coppers, silvers, and berries also have fun canine-incorporated names such as “Labradorable.”

A “Well-Groomed” Collection

The collection launched on the MAC website today, and will be available at US locations on August 20th. International locations will receive Haute Dogs in September. The marketing for this campaign is especially fun for pooch-lovers everywhere. Using the MAC Haute Dogs website, users can share “doggleganger” selfies of themselves with their canines for a chance to be featured on MAC social pages. The images are also being shared in the Haute Dogs gallery. Additionally, MAC has partnered with BuzzFeed so you can even take a quiz to find out your inner dog personality. (We got Chow Chow.)
